My work is about preservation, whether it be natural resources or ancient artifacts. My art has a certain ambiguity to it, the viewer relates to the image and places it in his mind to a specific location. The actual original location most likely has nothing to do with the viewers’ preconception however, and may not physically exist anywhere except in my mind.

I combine painting, photography and stitching by utilizing traditional mark making with the latest in digital technology. My work incorporates a combination of techniques to reflect on the past in an attempt to make sense of the future by utilizing the incongruity of hand stitching (traditional mark making) with the latest technology on silk, linen or canvas (modern mark making).

My atrium sculptures and commissioned wall mounted pieces are site-specific and inspired by the environment and the area surrounding the installation. I work closely with architects, designers and developers. Natural, recycled and organic materials are available for LEED buildings.
